Engineering Program Managers or Engineering Product Managers: Successful candidates are former Software Engineers that have transitioned into the Engineering PM role. Their job duty as an Engineering PM requires gathering customer requirements and working with Engineering teams on delivering software features/products that meet these requirements.

Software Engineers: Engineers that focus on Back-end Services/Distributed Systems, Front-end/UI, Full-Stack development, Software for Hardware, Embedded Systems, Client-side Development, and Devices.

Hardware Engineers: The need for Hardware Engineering talent is as broad as our device lineup which stretches from the cloud's edge to quantum. With devices like Surface, Xbox, HoloLens and Quantum, Microsoft's need for Hardware Engineering talent ranges from silicon to systems. If you’re into Hardware and have hands-on experience designing and developing RTL, ASIC, FPGA, SoC, IP, CPU, GPU, NPU, Media, Storage, Security, Verification, Validation, etc. OR, if you’re into Systems with experience designing and developing Low Level Software, Firmware, Embedded, Optics, Camera, Display, Image, Color, etc.

Engineering Management: As an Engineering Leader/Manager you are responsible for driving the development of leading-edge technologies, and the people behind it. You should have hands-on experience with architecture, design, and implementation of large-scale distributed systems, products, and services. You must be a team player who can build people, teams, and cross team relationships while delivering successful products.

Applied Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers: This also includes Software Engineers and Data Scientists who focus on A.I, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, ML Models or Big Data.

UX/UI Designers: Candidates design interfaces for Mobile/PC/Web Applications. This also includes candidates who focus on design interfaces and prototypes for Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality.
