Dawn Trudeau


 
Dawn Trudeau is a co-owner of the four-time WNBA Champions – The Seattle Storm. Dawn convened the group that became Force 10 Hoops LLC (the Storm’s ownership group). A former Microsoft executive, Dawn Trudeau served as chairperson for Force 10 Hoops from 2009-13 and is president of the Seattle Storm Foundation. For the past 25 years she has helped nonprofits develop their capacity to deliver their programs with maximum effectiveness. Trudeau spent over 20 years in the software industry, 14 of which came at Microsoft, where she held a variety of executive leadership positions. Committed to assuring that women and girls and people of color can compete at any level, Dawn has been a devoted member of numerous boards, including currently serving as chair of the Microsoft Alumni Network Board. She is also on the executive committee of the Pacific Science Center and Economic Opportunity Institute Boards. She is a member of the University of Washington Women’s Center Advisory Board and previously chaired the Board of Social Venture Partners Seattle and served as a board member of Social Venture Partners International as well as Seattle Girls’ School. She focuses her energy on gender and racial justice and socio-economic programs and policies that help provide equitable opportunities for all people to develop economic security and personal success. Dawn is also pursuing her journey to be an active anti-racist ally. A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dawn began her career building computer monitors and learning how to program before landing a tech job at Microsoft in 1984.
