Empowered by alumni, supported by Microsoft: $50,000 grant fuels our mission

Thanks to the incredible impact Microsoft alumni have had in the Puget Sound region, the Microsoft Alumni Network is proud to be recognized as a changemaker and grant recipient as part of Microsoft’s One Future. One Sound. “50 for 50” program.

We are among 50 nonprofit organizations in the Puget Sound region that were awarded $50,000 grants as part of Microsoft's 50th anniversary celebration.

This isn’t just about receiving funds; it’s about fueling our mission to empower alumni-driven initiatives that make a difference in the world. This generous support will help us strengthen connections and expand opportunities for alumni to make an impact.

"We are not just alumni, we are a network of changemakers, using our skills and experience to continue the work of shaping a better world. We are entrepreneurs, tech innovators, career professionals, nonprofit leaders, volunteers, and lifelong learners. I'm proud that we get to share alumni stories, celebrate their legacies, facilitate connections for business, social impact and fun — and inspire others to give back to their community."

About 50/50

Starting in October, Microsoft began highlighting 50 changemakers in the Puget Sound region that are making a difference in the lives of their neighbors. These community champions, including Pike Place Market Foundation and Seattle Aquarium, will each receive grants of $50,000 to support their important work.

In a recent blog post, Microsoft Vice Chair and President Brad Smith said the grants recognize individuals and organizations “that have contributed to the success of the region, and who are shaping a future we can all be proud of.”
