Rowland Hanson

Rowland is CEO of The HMC Company (www.thehmccompany.com). Prior to consulting, he was Vice President of Corporate Communications at Microsoft, where he created and executed the company's highly acclaimed branding strategy, which included the market introduction of Microsoft's most popular product—a graphical interface that he named "Windows." Several books published on the history of Microsoft document the strategies executed that led to the dominance of the Microsoft and Windows brands.

We are grateful that Rowland dedicates a portion of his time and talent to connect us with strategic partners that help drive our business and philanthropy.

Applications open for 2017 Integral Fellow and Inspired Leaders

Our Integral Fellows Program recognizes one alumni with a demonstrated body of work and sustained results over an extended period, based on a commitment to sustainability and a demonstration of the core values of the program: Innovation, Collaboration, Effectiveness, Entrepreneurship and Integrity. Is there someone you believe should be out next Fellow? Let us know.

We also identify up and coming nonprofit leaders who inspire us. We will look for Microsoft alumni who may be at the beginning of a nonprofit endeavor, but are already showing evidence that they are on track to have a big impact.  Perhaps future Fellows, but certainly “Inspired Leaders” on a great trajectory. Do you know of someone like this? Let us know.
